Student Intern (Event Coordinator)
Job Description
The ISS Events & Programs Student Intern will assist in the role of planning, coordinating, and promoting events and programs hosted and promoted by International Student Services. As an Events & Programs Student Intern, the intern will work with the Program Coordinator, Programming Team, and other ISS Staff responsible for planning and executing ISS events and programs. It will also include finding and promoting campus and community events and opportunities to the international student community as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications
The intern will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team. This position is hands on in that the intern will need to assist in planning and coordinating various events and programs as well as participating and serving as a point of contact for various events and programs as needed. It will also involve networking and collaborating by meeting and communicating with other individuals, agencies, and organizations. It will require clear and effective communication, organization skills, attention to detail, and good customer service. The intern will report to the Program Coordinator.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assisting in planning and coordinating events and programs (including evening and weekend events/programs)
- Serving as a point of contact for events and programs in absence of Program Coordinator
- Acting as a facilitator on the day of the event
- Entering and managing data
- Setting up and managing event registration
- Revising existing documents and databases
- Drafting new documents
- Typing emails and letters
- Designing signs and promotional items for events and programs
- Making phone calls and personal meetings
- Assisting with other customer service responsibilities in person and over the phone
